Equine Supervisor

Weaver Leather is looking for a supervisor to join our Equine team. This position involves supervising, training, and developing staff and overseeing the daily operations of the division.  The job responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist in the day-to-day workflow of the division and ensure the timely and efficient operation of the department by scheduling and managing employee workloads.
    • Effectively support and provide direction to independent sales reps to ensure alignment with company goals and expectations.
      • Serve as first point of contact on rep feedback, concerns, and specific opportunities.
      • Ensure reps are effectively utilizing programs, promotions, and technology to best serve customers and maximize sales potential.
      • Regularly review sales results and connect with reps to gain feedback and perspective on the overall territory and influential accounts.
      • Gather status updates from reps on new accounts and new product performance.
      • Assist in the hiring and onboarding of all sales reps.
  • Assist division manager in prioritizing, organizing, and executing strategic plans for the division.
  • Supervise, train, coach, and develop division employees to help them reach potential and achieve company objectives.
  • Ensure day to day execution of division objectives including but not limited to new products, marketing objectives, and public relations.
  • Handle the evaluation and approval of new equine and pet dealer applications and rep assignment.
  • Maintain list of equine products being tracked for competitive pricing database.
  • Serve as first point of contact for other Weaver departments regarding equine products, pricing, programs, and rep activity.
  • Contribute to the discontinued product process and work interdepartmentally to liquidate discontinued/overstock products through rep channel.
  • New Equine sale flyer and catalog page review and proofing.
  • Recommend and suggest changes to products, programs, and pricing based on rep/field feedback.
  • Work with division manager in planning and execution of Equine Trade Shows.
  • Work closely with R&D and marketing to move projects to completion ensuring timelines are met.
  • Complete division projects, priorities, and reports by established deadlines.
  • Take part in interviewing and hiring of new personnel for the division.
  • Complete and conduct quarterly performance reviews.
  • Verify the accuracy of and approve all time and attendance records and paperwork.
  • Approve expense reports for direct reports.
  • Work closely and communicate effectively with the division manager regarding all department matters.
